FLAT STANLEY

FLAT STANLEY

Help us with our study of the regions of the United States and of the World.   The students in our room have created their own Flat Stanley or Flat Sally and have brought them home looking for a traveler to take them on their adventure.

How the program works:

1.     Find a traveler or take your Flat Stanley / Sally when your family travels to a destination.

2.  At the destination, please find a postcard from the area and either mail it to our classroom or your child can bring it in to school with them when they return.    The address is on the back of Flat Stanley / Sally.

3.  The traveler may take a picture of Flat Stanley / Sally at their destination.  The picture can be sent in to school with your child, mailed to the class or even emailed to our class:  kfinneran@shrewsbury.k12.ma.us.

4.  When our class receives the postcard, we will share it and it will be displayed on the fourth grade bulletin board on the second floor.

If you do not have a travel companion for Flat Stanley / Sally, mail him / her to someone in a large manila envelope.  Destination s may be as close as a neighboring community or as far as a distant continent.   The goal is to learn about the various locations throughout out country and the world!

Thank you for your support in this program!
