The Jacob M. Boudreau Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Jacob Boudreau. Jacob was a former fourth grade student of mine whom was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, at the age of 5. For the next 7 1/2 years, Jacob bravely fought this disease. Sadly, Jacob lost his battle and passed away on April 13, 2010 at 12 years old. Jacob was an inspirational young man who had a profound impact on the lives of those he touched. I know I am a better teacher for having known Jacob.
The Jacob M. Boudreau Memorial Scholarship Fund is holding its third annual WiffleBall Tournament at Coolidge Elementary School . There will be three team categories, Adult, Teen and Youth, with trophies awarded to the winners of each category. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games, excluding the playoffs. There will also be a Home Run Derby! Cost to enter is going to be $5 for 10 Outs with additional prizes for the winners in each category.
Come join us for a great day in honor of Jacob!
